Scaleless Lizard Washed up on Beach

Last week in North Carolina visitors were startled to see a very strange and scary fish washed up on shore still alive. The fish was later identified as the Long-Snouted Lancetfish (Alepisaurus ferox). Scientists don't know too much about the Long-Snouted Lancetfish due to the fact that it lives in the bottom of the ocean. When these fish are born they are hermaphrodites and when they mature they change to one sex. These fish are also more lizard like then fish. They are born without scales and never grow them either. The record size ever recorded from these fish is 6 and a half feet long.

Officer Killed in New Hampshire

On late Monday night a 48 year old police officer by the name of Stephan Arkell was shot and killed responding to a domestic violence call. Neighbors say there was a lot of yelling throughout the whole situation and it only escalated when the officer arrived. Gun shots were exchanged and the house was set on fire shortly after. The front of the building was blown off and the rest of the home was engulfed in flames shortly after. The suspected shooter was the home owners son, a 47 year old by the name of Michael Nolan. The whole state of New Hampshire was in mourning after the incident.

8 More Girls Kidnapped in Nigeria

In Nigeria the past month over 250 school girls ages 12-15 have been taken by a suspected group by the name of Boko Haram. They are a militia group but no one understands why they have kidnapped this many girls for sure, many believe it is because of The World Economic Forum for Africa. There are a lot of protests and revolt in Nigeria  because of the lack of help from the government in helping to find these girls. The Militants are currently threating to sell the 8 girls that were most recently abducted. Officials say if these actions are the result of them trying to get the Economic Forum to fail it will keep going on and not be affected by these terrorist actions.

Boy Survives Stow-Away Flight to Maui

A 15 year old boy after discovering that his mother is still alive in Ethiopia tried getting to her from California. He stowed away in a wheel well of a bowing 737 on a flight to Maui, Hawaii. Officials found him on  the tarmac of the Maui airport most likely looking for his next flight to get on. Expects say that the boy shouldn't actually be alive at this point. The area of the plane he was in get down to -80 degrees while at cruising altitude and the air is unbelievably at that height also. The boys mother in Ethiopia is requesting helping help from the US Government to help her be reunited with her son.

That Lost Plane

Yesterday off the coast of Malaysia the lost plane from a few weeks ago was finally discovered by a young American male by the name of Ben Snell. He was taking a lonely walk on the beach and spotted the wreckage off shore about 100 yards. He was staying at a beach resort within viewing distance but apparently no one saw the plane until now. When people asked how he spotted the plane he just said "Because im a f*&#@$ beast". There were no survivors on the plane and there will be a memorial for the members next week Thursday.

GM Recall

GM is recalling 620,000 cars of its last generation compact cars due to heavy key ring or jarring can shut the car off according to the National Highway Traffic safety administration site. GM is aware of 22 crashed and 6 fatalities due to the flaw in their last generation of cars. GM is being held responsible for these injuries and crashes from their car. Curtis Carl Wehmeyer

In Stillwater, MN this past week Curtis Carl Wehmeyer was convicted upon suspicion for molesting and sexually abusing two teenage boys. Curtis Carl Wehmeyer is the pastor of a church in MN. On Wednesday prosecutors decided not to charge other leaders of the church in because some of them had at least an idea of what was going on with Curtis and those two boys. Ramsey County prosecutor John Choi said there was insufficient evidence to even show that the church leaders failed to properly report suspicions of abuse to the boys from Rev. Wehmeyer.

Ukraine Protests Turn Deadly

Overnight on January 22nd protests in Ukraine turned deadly with at least two dead. Two peoples bodies had been found near the site of clashes with police. Both people had been shot by police with live ammunition. Prosecutors announced more announcements that could futher fuel the fire of the violence that spilled onto the streets of Ukrainian capital after two months of largely peaceful protests. Lots of Snow Out East

This past week a large snow storm hit the east coast and in some places dropped a record 16 inches of snow. In Philadelphia snow started mid-morning on Tuesday and dumped as much as 14 inches by Wednesday morning. New York saw close to the same amount as Philly but not quite as much. The place with the record snow fall for this storm was in Manalapan, NJ with 16 inches in just under 24 hours. Canned for being pro-gay marriage?

Chris Kluwe of the Minnesota Vikings claimed that he was fired from his job as an NFL Kicker because of his views of gay marriage and showing his support. Chris is pro-gay marriage and he claims that is why he was fired from his job. Chris's special teams coach, and general manager were said to be uneasy around Chris after his support he showed towards the gays. Chris says that his head coach at the time was the real reason that he was fired and that he is trying to spread his story so that coach doesn't get another coaching job in the NFL ever again, or at any level for that matter.
